WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT IN THERAPY AT BELIEVE
During your first visit, you can expect to have your story heard, with the emphasis being on you. Our goal is to help you feel safe so that you can be curious and explore what is most important to you. We meet people where they are. We are comfortable integrating faith into therapy, if that's your desire.
We use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a structured approach to therapy that yields significant results and works easily with individuals, relationships, and families. EFT helps you slow down the chaos so that you can organize your most painful places. We help couples and families strengthen the bonds of the relationship so that they can work out life's hangups together.
We walk clients through experiences that help them make sense of and organize their emotions and feelings about themselves, their relationships, and those places of distress that lead to feeling disconnected. We will look at those patterns and cycles that seem to repeat over and over like a broken record, like that same argument that you been having with your spouse since what feels like forever. We will explore ways to create awareness of these patterns, learn to slow them down, and then find new paths of interaction with ourselves and others.
